Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Winford Kemp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samba Rok!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rok closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rok tries to advance position but instead Kemp slips a leg back in to half guard.
Kemp really is a fat lump.
Kemp tries to roll over but Rok keeps him under control.
Kemp is staying active underneath Rok, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rok is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Rok really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kemp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kemp regains full guard. Nicely done.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rok throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kemp works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Rok wants to pass the guard but Kemp is keeping the position.
Rok throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rok drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kemp looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kemp looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kemp!

Rok is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rok takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Rok tries to control but Kemp manages to take his back.
Kemp lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Rok tries to escape but Kemp has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Kemp controlling the positon.
Kemp not allowing Rok to control his hands.
Kemp trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Rok doesn't escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rok is trying to stand back up.
Rok is trying to break free.
Rok is still trying to improve position.
Rok is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kemp.

Kemp working for the choke.

Rok defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Kemp's arms.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rok is really stuck here.
Kemp is not going to allow Rok to sit and survive in this position.
Kemp is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Rok takes the fight into the clinch.

Kemp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kemp tries to close the distance and clinch but Rok swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rok drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kemp pushes Rok off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Samba Rok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kemp tries to keep at a distance but Rok has taken the fight into the clinch.

Rok has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kemp regains guard immediately.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kemp manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rok manages to get himself to full guard.


Kemp drops back looking for a leg! Rok is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rok manages to kick Kemp off! Kemp jumps back into Rok's guard.
Rok pulls Kemp in close to prevent any damage.
Rok working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kemp.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rok is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Winford Kemp overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kemp gets to his feet - Rok follows without any prompting.
Rok misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kemp gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rok to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Kemp is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Rok frees his head nicely. Oh but Kemp has switched to an armbar! Rok is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Winford Kemp!
