The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopper looks to land a left hand but Pirama moved out of range nicely.
Pirama slaps away a takedown attempt from Hopper, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pirama throws a combination that misses
and Hopper counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hopper throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pirama misses with an uppercut. Hopper saw that one coming.
It looked like Hopper wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Some wild striking there from Pirama.
Pirama works the jab nicely.
Pirama tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hopper was well out of range. Poor timing from Pirama.
Hopper throws a counter high kick but Pirama was just alert enough to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pirama misses with a double jab.
Hopper attempts a counter takedown but Pirama avoids it well and moves away.
Pirama shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hopper is trying to defend but Pirama finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hopper is refusing to be controlled, as Pirama sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hopper trying to hold on to Pirama's head to control him but Pirama postures up.
Pirama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hopper keeps working.
Hopper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pirama is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hopper is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Pirama is tapping! Great win for Hopper!
