Murley is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rage Against The Machine | Bulls On Parade. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Terje Warholm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Murley!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warholm shoots in for a takedown but Murley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Warholm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Murley tries to avoid it but Warholm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Murley to the ground. Murley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Murley misses.
Warholm doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Murley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Murley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Warholm is landing a low percentage of strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terje Warholm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Warholm fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Warholm misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Warholm is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Murley's half guard.

and Murley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Warholm tries a head kick but it misses.
Warholm shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Murley defends it nicely.
Murley wants to counter the offense by Warholm and move into the clinch position.

Warholm dives in and scores a takedown into Murley's guard.
Warholm trying to control but Murley is working from the bottom.
Warholm stopping the sweep attempt from Murley.
Murley wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Warholm is now in half guard.
Murley wants to get back to full guard.
Warholm sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Murley defending well though.
Murley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Warholm.
Murley is looking for a sweep. Warholm is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Warholm is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Murley has managed to free his arm - good work.
Warholm is trying to control. Murley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murley holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Murley is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Murley won't allow Warholm to pass to mount.

Warholm darts in and clinches Murley up against the cage.

Warholm escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Warholm has closed the distance and engaged Murley in a clinch.
Murley lands an uppercut.
Warholm misses with a punch to the body.
Warholm tries for a takedown but Murley manages to get underhooks.
Warholm is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Murley gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Warholm manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Warholm or perhaps it was just good defense by Murley, which made it look bad.

Warholm moves into range and clinches up with Murley.

Warholm jumps guard but Murley stands there with Warholm around his waist. Warholm gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Murley.
Warholm is looking for a takedown.
Warholm tries to pull guard but Murley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Murley scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Murley lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Warholm backwards.

Warholm breaks from the clinch.
Murley stuffs the takedown.
Warholm misses with a takedown
letting Murley counter with a right hand.


It looks like Terje Warholm has been cut.

Murley cracks Warholm with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Murley has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Warholm to stand back up!


Warholm is rocked!
Murley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Warholm doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Murley counters with a left to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Warholm closes the distance and clinches.
Warholm jumps guard but Murley stands there with Warholm around his waist. Warholm gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Murley working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Murley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Warholm shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Murley counters with a crisp right hand that drops Warholm! Murley lets Warholm back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Warholm is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head kick by Warholm misses

and Murley moves into the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Murley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Murley lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Warholm backwards.
Warholm misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Murley.
Murley throws a big uppercut that drops Warholm! More strikes from Murley and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Warholm lies dazed against the cage as Murley celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Murley!
Scott Murley seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
