Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Junior Iron (ranked 2091 p4p, 255 weight class) and Don Petersen (ranked 2150 p4p, 262 weight class). Petersen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by James Brown- Living in America. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Junior Iron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Petersen! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Iron scores with a leg kick.
Iron definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Junior Iron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Petersen misses with a hook. Iron throws a leg kick but Petersen sees it coming and moves out of range. Iron throws a lazy right hand but Petersen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Petersen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Iron takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Petersen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Iron.
Petersen is looking to clinch. Iron fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Petersen throws a chopping leg kick but Iron manages to avoid taking any serious damage. A nice inside leg kick there by Iron. That's going to slow Petersen down. Iron throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Iron takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Petersen looks to throw the jab but Iron is out of range. Good leg kick by Iron there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Petersen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Iron is fending him off so far but Petersen persists. Nope, Iron circles away and we're back to standing. Iron is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Petersen. Iron looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Iron misses with a leg kick and Petersen counters with a stiff right hand. Iron throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Petersen with the counter takedown but Iron avoids it easily. Petersen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Iron looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Iron gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petersen stalling. Petersen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Iron is defending against the submission attempts here by Petersen.
Petersen prevents Iron from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Iron is positioning himself well to prevent Petersen advancing to mount. Petersen is looking to take a break and control but Iron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Iron trying to control but Petersen postures up.
Iron is defending against the submission attempts here by Petersen.
Petersen is working for a submission of some sort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Petersen is keen to just control but Iron is a slippery customer. Iron wants to improve his position but Petersen is controlling well.
Petersen wants to control but Iron is keeping him busy. Iron trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Petersen manages to pass to mount!
Iron is looking to improve his position but Petersen isn't that keen on the idea. Petersen avoids the attempt from Iron to control. Petersen controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petersen pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Iron manages to regain half guard. Good work. Petersen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Petersen is looking for a kimura but Iron is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Petersen to get the leverage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petersen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Iron is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Petersen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Petersen's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Don Petersen will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jab, jab by Iron - just one landing. Petersen slips a jab and a cross from Iron.
Junior Iron is winning the standup battle so far. Iron misses with a body kick. Junior Iron is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A big left from Petersen misses. Iron motions for Petersen to come forward. Iron throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Petersen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Iron looks to land a left hand but Petersen moved out of range nicely. Iron stalks Petersen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Petersen's face. Petersen staggers backwards, shaken. Iron misses with a jab, cross combination.
Petersen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Iron tries to bum rush Petersen with a series of wild strikes but Petersen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Iron slips a straight right by Petersen. Petersen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Iron quickly recovers to half guard. Iron wants to stand back up but Petersen manages to pass into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Iron is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Petersen is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Iron sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Iron is looking to improve his position.
Petersen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Iron defends it well. Iron is concentrating on defense, preventing Petersen from advancing position. Iron wants to control but Petersen is keeping busy and won't allow it. Iron tries to roll over but Petersen keeps him under control. Don Petersen has got the better of the ground game so far. Petersen is trying to control the action in half guard but Iron is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Petersen is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Iron is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Iron is working hard here to advance position. Iron keeping control of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Iron trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Petersen manages to pass to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Iron is in all sorts of trouble here.
Iron tries to lock up and control but Petersen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Iron is working to get back to half guard.
Petersen is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Iron is forced to tap! Great finish!
