Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abel Stamp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Weitzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Abel Stamp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Weitzer! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Stamp does no damage. Stamp lands a lovely overhand right. Stamp misses with a series of wild punches.
Weitzer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Stamp is fending him off so far but Weitzer persists. Nope, Stamp circles away and we're back to standing. Weitzer shoots in for a takedown but Stamp shows good takedown defense. Stamp throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Weitzer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Abel Stamp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Weitzer. Stamp throws a series of strikes that have Weitzer backpedaling.
Weitzer looks for a takedown but Stamp sprawls well. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Stamp!
Stamp scores with a sloppy right hand. Weitzer should have avoided that one. Stamp displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Stamp scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Stamp prevents Weitzer from improving his position.

Weitzer tries to keep at a distance but Stamp has taken the fight into the clinch. Stamp tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Weitzer smiles and moves away.

Stamp scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Stamp throws a right and a left that both miss. Stamp throws a combination. Weitzer tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Stamp displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Weitzer falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stamp counters with a nice double leg into guard. Stamp lands a couple of decent looking shots. Weitzer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Weitzer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Stamp is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Weitzer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Stamp's back instead. Weitzer looks gassed! Stamp trying to get back to his feet but Weitzer is in full control for now. Stamp is really stuck here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stamp trying to control the hands but Weitzer won't let him. Weitzer is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Stamp defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Stamp manages to reverse the position and now he's in Weitzer's guard. Nice work there by Stamp.

Stamp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weitzer on the ground. Stamp is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Stamp with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Weitzer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stamp seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Stamp scoring with punches to the head and body. Stamp has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Stamp stands up and waves to Weitzer to follow him. Stamp is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Stamp fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Weitzer doesn't succeed with the takedown and Stamp counters with a left and a right that stings Weitzer. Stamp rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Weitzer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Stamp throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Weitzer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stamp counters with a one-two to the body. Stamp tries to clinch up. Stamp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A combination from Stamp does no damage. Weitzer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Stamp throws a combination. Weitzer tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Stamp throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Weitzer's waist but Weitzer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stamp off to one side. Stamp throws a head kick but Weitzer moves out of range.

Weitzer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stamp counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Weitzer's guard now. Abel Stamp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Stamp wants to free his trapped foot but Weitzer is holding on for dear life with his legs. Stamp tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ground and pound from Stamp. Stamp postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Weitzer to stand up. Stamp moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Stamp misses with a takedown attempt and Weitzer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Stamp is looking to improve his position.
Weitzer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stamp does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stamp won't allow Weitzer to pass to mount. Abel Stamp overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Weitzer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stamp defends it well.

Weitzer has his takedown stuffed and Stamp counters with a series of strikes. Weitzer will be more careful next time no doubt. Stamp scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Weitzer throws a low kick but Stamp avoids it. No joy there for Stamp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Weitzer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stamp's guard. Stamp is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Weitzer wants to pass the guard but Stamp is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stamp fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Weitzer on the side of the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A right-left combo lands from Stamp. Stamp lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Stamp looks to land a combination. Weitzer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
