Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Noriega (ranked 1058 p4p, 126 weight class) and Tae Shik Cha (ranked 3100 p4p, 285 weight class). Noriega comes to the ring accompanied by MS-13 Mara Salvatrucha. Cha is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Disturbed - Decadence. Tae Shik Cha is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Pablo Noriega!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Tae Shik Cha!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cha avoids the body shot from Noriega.
Noriega is looking to slow Cha down with leg kicks.
Cha lands with a nice body punch.
Cha throws a shot from downtown. Noriega moves away and avoids it.
Cha jabs at Noriega's body.
A telegraphed right hand from Cha misses the target.

Cha throws an overhand right that lands on Noriega's shoulder, as Noriega tries to avoid the shot.

Noriega feints and then cracks Cha's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cha down.

Cha tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Noriega was well out of range. Poor timing from Cha.
Noriega is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Cha.
Cha is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Noriega.
Noriega swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Noriega throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Noriega tries a low kick but Cha avoids it.
Cha swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Cha digs a good body shot into Noriega's ribs.
Cha throws a jab when Noriega was well out of range.
It looked like Noriega wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Noriega ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Cha throws out a counter right but Noriega avoids it with no problem.
Noriega throws a leg kick that is checked
and Cha cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Noriega fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cha.

Cha loads up on a big right hand but Noriega slips the punch.

and Noriega makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Noriega fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cha has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Noriega's jab looks to have found its range, popping Cha under the eye.
Cha stuns Noriega with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tae Shik Cha will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cha throws a looping overhand right but Noriega ducks down to avoid it.
Cha ducks right into an uppercut from Noriega.

Noriega fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cha to the ground. Noriega is now in Cha's guard.
Noriega slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Noriega stays in close to Cha's body and controls the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cha gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Noriega feints a jab promting Cha to slip. Noriega then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Cha slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Noriega drives through with a takedown into guard.
Noriega has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Cha controls Noriega momentarily but Noriega frees himself.

Noriega connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cha. Cha circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Well Noriega has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
