Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Treneiro Corneiro (ranked 2659 p4p, 286 weight class) and Doug Douglas (ranked 3953 p4p, 388 weight class). Douglas has chosen The Ballad of Curtis Loew as his entrance music. Treneiro Corneiro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Treneiro Corneiro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Doug Douglas! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corneiro shoots in but no luck this time. Douglas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Douglas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Corneiro does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Corneiro looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Douglas pushes past his half guard into mount! Corneiro bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Douglas is trying to keep Corneiro in close.
Douglas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Corneiro. Douglas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Corneiro drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Corneiro jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douglas keeping full guard, as Corneiro tries to pass. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Corneiro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Douglas working a defensive guard here.
Corneiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Douglas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Douglas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Corneiro passes Douglas's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Corneiro maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Douglas could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Corneiro has cracked it and Douglas is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Corneiro!
