PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Julio Valeron Huhrera (ranked 1332 p4p, 148 weight class) and Bob The Man (ranked 1121 p4p, 137 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Man misses with a hook. Huhrera ducked under it nicely.
Huhrera fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from The Man lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Huhrera has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Huhrera and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
The crowd cheers as The Man lands an impressive looking overhand right. Huhrera doesn't seem phased though.

The Man clinches up against the cage.

The Man tries to work over Huhrera 's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Huhrera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The Man shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Huhrera is trying to defend but The Man finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Huhrera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The Man's guard.

Our spies down at at Holding Cell inform us that The Man has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Huhrera is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Huhrera is looking to take a break and control but The Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Huhrera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so The Man is just riding it out for now. Huhrera eventually gives up the hold.

The Man wants to control but Huhrera is keeping busy.
We've been hearing good reports from Huhrera 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that Julio Valeron Huhrera will probably get the nod.

Huhrera wants the takedown. The Man is fighting it off but Huhrera persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in The Man's guard against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The Man is looking to cinch up a triangle. Huhrera throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to The Man's body to avoid the submission. The Man has instead reached around Huhrera 's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! The Man arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
