Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Smith (ranked 4101 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miko Mari (ranked 24811 p4p, 0 weight class). Miko Mari will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Miko Mari!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith closes the distance and pushes Mari back into the cage.
Smith landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Smith fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Smith has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mari clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mari manages to escape to his feet.
Mari moves into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mari doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Smith leaning against his opponent.
Smith tries for a takedown. No joy.
Smith ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Smith no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Mari wants to stand and escape but instead Smith has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Mari is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith sitting in guard here, content to control.
Mari is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mari wants to get back to his feet but Smith is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Smith is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mari swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mari throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mari is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Smith advances position into side control!
Mari is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back!

I really don't envy Smith right now.
Mari is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Smith has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Smith wants to control his opponent's hands but Mari gets his hands free.

Smith surviving as best he can, preventing damage.

Mari wants to control but Smith manages to buck him off and is now in Mari's guard! Nice work there by Smith!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mari is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Mari can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Smith controls the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jon Smith will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Smith throws a series of punches but Mari moves out of range.
Mari shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mari scores with a hook.
Mari tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Smith looking to score a takedown here. Mari is defending well but Smith drives through and ends up in Mari's guard.
Mari pushes Smith off and gets back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Mari does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mari throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith leaves Mari with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mari has managed to clinch.
Mari jumps guard but Smith stands there with Mari around his waist. Mari gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jon Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miko Mari.
Smith lands a knee to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mari lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Mari moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mari circles away.
Mari tries to counter by closing the distance.

Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mari is breathing heavily.
Smith looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mari!
Mari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Smith has closed the distance and engaged Mari in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mari misses with a wild combination.
Jon Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mari shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Mari's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mari takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Smith forces Mari back against the cage and clinches.
Smith jumps guard and drags Mari to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mari trying to stand up but can't free himself from Smith's guard.
Smith pulls Mari in close to prevent any damage.
Mari is looking to pass into half guard but Smith pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Smith is in guard.

Smith gets to his feet - Mari follows without any prompting.
Mari tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mari clinches up against the cage.
Mari is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Smith gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mari fails to land the takedown.
Mari tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smith is able to avoid easily.
Miko Mari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mari tries to keep at a distance but Smith has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smith ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Smith no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.
Smith is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mari not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Sloppy strikes from Mari. Those never looked like landing.
Mari on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mari manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Smith passes Mari's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Smith uses his free foot to push down on Mari's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mari.
Mari keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith looking to isolate an arm here. Mari doesn't see it coming and as Smith extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Smith!
