Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Regis Petrozuli (ranked 1872 p4p, 88 weight class) and Alf Konrad (ranked 1037 p4p, 46 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Regis Petrozuli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alf Konrad!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konrad misses with an uppercut.
Konrad slips a jab from Petrozuli.
Konrad throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Petrozuli misses with a head kick.
A low kick from Petrozuli misses
and Konrad counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Regis Petrozuli has been cut.
Konrad throws a combination that misses

and Petrozuli counters with a takedown into side control.
Konrad really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petrozuli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Petrozuli is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Konrad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Petrozuli looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Petrozuli working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Konrad is trying to improve his position.

Petrozuli is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Konrad knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Petrozuli tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Petrozuli is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Konrad has escaped the position, nice work there.

Petrozuli has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Petrozuli looking to control but Konrad is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Petrozuli with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Petrozuli has control of Konrad's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Konrad regains control of the situation pretty easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Petrozuli shoots in for a takedown but Konrad shows good takedown defense.
Petrozuli misses with a low kick.
Petrozuli throws a leg kick but Konrad checks it.
Petrozuli scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Petrozuli throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Konrad cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Konrad lands a really nice looking cross but Petrozuli seems unphased.
Konrad jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Konrad dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Petrozuli doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrozuli walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Konrad uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Petrozuli.
Konrad lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Konrad drops Petrozuli with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Petrozuli looks back up at him and smiles so Konrad waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Petrozuli is rocked!
Petrozuli is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Konrad sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Petrozuli's defenses. It connects perfectly with Petrozuli's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alf Konrad!
Alf Konrad seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
