Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Okino Naruhiko (ranked 463 p4p, 23 weight class) and Alf Konrad (ranked 808 p4p, 37 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Okino Naruhiko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alf Konrad! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naruhiko dodges the punch combination from Konrad.
Konrad getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Konrad has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Naruhiko is landing a low percentage of strikes. Naruhiko feints and as Konrad raises his hands in defense, Naruhiko changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Naruhiko keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Konrad's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Naruhiko sitting in guard here, content to control. Naruhiko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Konrad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Naruhiko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Naruhiko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Naruhiko takes one to the side of the head.
Naruhiko shoots in looking for a takedown but Konrad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Naruhiko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Naruhiko misses the shot to the body. Nice defenses there by Naruhiko. Naruhiko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Naruhiko working the ground and pound but Konrad is defending the strikes. Naruhiko looks up at the clock and then as Konrad takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Naruhiko smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Naruhiko tries to advance position but instead Konrad slips a leg back in to half guard. Naruhiko missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Naruhiko not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Naruhiko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Konrad regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Naruhiko.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Naruhiko distracts Konrad with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Naruhiko looking to pass the guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Naruhiko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Naruhiko trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Naruhiko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Naruhiko scoring with punches and elbows. Naruhiko is chipping away with strikes.

Okino Naruhiko dominated that round. That's time! Naruhiko's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Konrad thows a left - swing and a miss! Naruhiko shoots and misses and Konrad counters with a stiff right hand. Naruhiko closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Konrad quickly recovers to half guard. Okino Naruhiko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Naruhiko content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Konrad keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Naruhiko connects with a nice short shot to Konrad's temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Naruhiko is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Naruhiko thows a huge punch but Konrad dodges it nicely.

Naruhiko lands more strikes and the ref dives in to save him! The fight is over!
