And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rupeni Veitayaki!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veitayaki keeps Snow at a distance using the push kick.
Veitayaki misses with a head kick.

Veitayaki ducks right into an uppercut from Snow.
Snow waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Veitayaki.
Veitayaki tries to close the distance and clinch but Snow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Veitayaki throws a head kick but Snow moves out of range.
Snow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Snow fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Veitayaki.

Snow lands a nice hook to Veitayaki's body. Veitayaki takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Veitayaki moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

With the fighters up against the ropes, Snow throws an elbow but misses.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Snow will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Veitayaki is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Snow darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Veitayaki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Snow fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Veitayaki manages to avoid it.
Snow ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Rupeni Veitayaki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Veitayaki throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Veitayaki takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Veitayaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Snow swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Snow was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Veitayaki.
Snow throws a combination. Veitayaki tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Snow cracks Veitayaki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Veitayaki throws a right and a left that Snow avoids nicely.
As Veitayaki tries to get set, Snow tries to push him back and clinch up but Veitayaki manages to avoid the attempt.

Snow doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

With the two fighters working up against the ropes, Snow just misses with a elbow thrown towards Veitayaki's brow.
Veitayaki is trying to push Snow away but Snow has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Snow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Veitayaki can do to turn this around?

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Snow here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Snow throws a hook to the side of Veitayaki's head but Veitayaki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been told by Snow's head coaches at The Gentleman's Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
