Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Wagner (ranked 4232 p4p, 346 weight class) and Sub Machine (ranked 7242 p4p, 404 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Wagner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sub Machine! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wagner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Machine napping and manages to drive through into side control! Wagner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Wagner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Machine for as long as he can get away with. Wagner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wagner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Machine is looking to regain half guard here but Wagner keeps moving and retains side control. Wagner taking a breather here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machine is trying to control Wagner's posture but Wagner avoids it. Wagner moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Machine tries to control but Wagner manages to take his back. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Wagner's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Machine looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Machine might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wagner haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wagner is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Machine has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. A lull in the action here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Machine trying to control the action but Wagner just sinks the hooks in. Wagner is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Machine is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Even with his hooks in, Wagner manages to miss with strikes from the back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wagner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Machine working a defensive guard here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Machine is squirming around, avoiding Wagner's attempts to control the action. Machine avoids a series of strikes thrown by Wagner.

Wagner is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Machine to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Machine shrugs it off.

Machine tries to hold on but Wagner pushes him away. Machine is looking to improve his position but Wagner isn't that keen on the idea. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wagner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Good control from Wagner. Machine tries to roll but Wagner sticks to his back.
Machine is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Machine preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Wagner. Machine fending off the submission attempt from Wagner. Machine is really stuck here.

Daniel Wagner dominated that second round. That's time! Wagner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Machine shoots for a double leg takedown but Wagner sprawls well. He's pushed Machine's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wagner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machine looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wagner is looking to take a break and control but Machine is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Machine struggling a bit here. Machine looks to move to half guard but instead Wagner has passed into mount! Damn! Wagner fails to move to back control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machine tries to lock up and control but Wagner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Machine is trying to escape the mount.

Wagner wants to control the pace but Machine is squirming around nicely. Machine tries to reverse the position but Wagner maintains control. Machine tries to lock up and control but Wagner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machine is desperately trying to improve his position but Wagner has a good base and remains in mount. Wagner sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Machine really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Machine suckers Wagner into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Machine is now in Wagner's guard!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Machine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wagner pulls Machine in close to prevent any damage. Machine trying to control the position from guard on top but Wagner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wagner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Machine wants to control from the top but Wagner keeps moving. Machine has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Five Round Fight Club NY (50 max). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Machine content to stall in guard here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Daniel Wagner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Machine gets caught napping as Wagner dives in and scores a takedown. Machine manages to retain guard. Wagner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Wagner wants to control from the top but Machine keeps moving. Machine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wagner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sub Machine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Machine working for a triangle but Wagner defends it easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel Wagner showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wagner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
