Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ace Rob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
32 - 22 - 2, fighting out of London, Selfie Lord!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lord misses with a kick to the body.
Rob is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rob checks a leg kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Rob misses its target.
Lord gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rob seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lord manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rob checks a low kick from Lord.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lord misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rob tries to move into range but Lord moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lord throws a hook but Rob avoids it easily.
Lord misses with a looping left.
Lord's corner calls for a 1-2. Lord obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rob pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rob bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lord's head.
Lord keeps the fight on the outside.
Lord throws a lazy right hand but Rob sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rob throwing a counter right hand but Lord manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Rob.
Sloppy strikes from Rob. Those never looked like landing.
Rob shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rob showed some decent athleticism there.
Rob is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lord defends it well.
Lord is refusing to be controlled, as Rob sits in half guard.
Lord manages to escape and get back to his feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rob looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lord!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rob swings around for an armbar but Lord sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rob's guard.
Lord stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Rob throws up his legs and catches Lord in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Lord tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Rob! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ace Rob!
