Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Bullet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rohan Wright!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullet shoots in for a takedown but Wright shows good takedown defense.

Bullet fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wright, pushing him back against the cage.
The referee calls for Wright to work.
Bullet has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wright after a bit of a struggle.
Bullet lands a shoulder strike.
Bullet tries for a takedown. No joy.

Bullet tries to pull guard but Wright holds him up against the cage and eventually Bullet drops back down to his feet.

Bullet closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wright circles away.

A quick step to the side and Bullet tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bullet looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Despite the aggression on Wright's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Bullet takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Wright lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wright throws a series of strikes that have Bullet backpedaling.

Bullet is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wright is defending well.
Bullet blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Wright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bullet swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wright is fighting to break Bullet's control of his arms but Bullet is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bullet throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bullet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bullet is trying to hold Wright in close to prevent damage but Wright has managed to pass into half guard.

Bullet takes a little break here. Wright wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Bullet tries to score with some ground and pound. Wright controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Wright manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bullet's best efforts.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jack Bullet will probably get the nod.

Bullet decides to stand back up. Bullet steps back and let's Wright get back to his feet.

Bullet shoots in but Wright avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wright rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bullet moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bullet or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright, which made it look bad.

Wright leaves Bullet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bullet closes the distance and clinches.
Bullet's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Wright lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Bullet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wright steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bullet. That one must have hurt.
Wright looks to land a right hand but Bullet moved out of range.
Bullet keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bullet shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Bullet tries to free his leg and advance position but Wright is retaining full guard.
Wright bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bullet's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bullet striking off his back but it's not causing Wright any problems.
Wright must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Bullet lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bullet accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wright working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bullet doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bullet manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Wright looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
