Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simeone goes for a double leg but Joe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Joe continues to drive forward.
Joe slaps away a takedown attempt from Simeone, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Joe feinted with a counter takedown.

Simeone gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Joe lands with a left to the head.
Simeone prevents a body shot from Joe.

Simeone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joe lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Simeone or not.
Joe swings wildly with an uppercut but Simeone uses good head movement to avoid it.
Still in the clinch, Joe scores with a nice short uppercut.

Joe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Joe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Simeone's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Simeone can do anything to dispel that myth.

Joe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Simeone is just riding it out for now. Joe eventually gives up the hold.

Joe has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Simeone defend it? Joe steps over the head and cranks it - Simeone is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Joe!

Glass Joe bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
