The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunderfist looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gandhi is fending him off so far but Thunderfist persists. Nope, Gandhi circles away and we're back to standing. Thunderfist looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Gandhi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gandhi moves into the clinch. Gandhi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Thunderfist is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gandhi is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Thunderfist will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Let's hope that Gandhi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gandhi decides to take the fight back to the feet. Nice straight punches there by Gandhi. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gandhi. Gandhi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Oh Thunderfist is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Gandhi cracks Thunderfist with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Thunderfist tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Gandhi pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Thunderfist is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
