The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Erock counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Good leg kick by Erock there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Stevens throws a lazy uppercut
and Erock counters with a good, hard body kick but Stevens shrugs it off.
Stevens rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Erock counters with a low kick, right behind Stevens 's knee.

Stevens swings widly with a right hand
and Erock counters with a good, hard body kick but Stevens shrugs it off.

Erock replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Stevens blocks it well.

And Erock tries to counter it with a takedown but Stevens pushes his down on his head and steps out.

so Erock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevens is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Stevens looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Erock slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Erock tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Erock has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Erock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stevens, who protects the arm well.

Erock goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Stevens rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Erock's guard! Nice work there by Stevens!

Erock pulls Stevens in close to his closed guard and prevents Stevens from doing any damage or advancing position.
Erock is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Stevens has his hands clasped together but Erock extends and breaks Stevens's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Erock.
