Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corll (ranked 1325 p4p, 174 weight class) and Dong Uk (ranked 1709 p4p, 218 weight class). Corll comes into the arena with Candyman blaring out of the sound system. Uk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bonobo - Prelude & Kiara kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Dong Uk has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 32 - 36 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Dong Uk!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Uk.
Corll fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Uk checks it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Uk.
Corll throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Corll throws a body punch but Uk moves out of range.
Uk tries to counter by closing the distance.
Corll takes a swing at Uk's ribcage but misses.
Uk thinks about the counter body kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Uk.
Nice takedown defense from Corll. No joy for Uk on that attempt.
Dean Corll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dong Uk.

Uk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corll looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Corll gets back to half guard.
Corll wants to improve his position but Uk is controlling well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Corll has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Uk is working away from the top position though.

Uk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Uk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Corll wants to get back to his feet.
Corll tries to roll over but Uk keeps him under control.
Uk thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Uk with the ground and pound but Corll uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Corll lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Corll wants to control from the top but Uk keeps moving.
Corll tries to free his leg and advance position but Uk is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Corll gets to his feet. Uk looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Corll throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Corll just misses with a punch to the body.
Uk was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Corll lands a slapping body shot.
Uk tries to bum rush Corll with a series of wild strikes but Corll uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Corll throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Corll throws a hook but Uk avoids it easily.
Uk swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Uk misses with a takedown
and Uk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Corll misses with a leg kick
and Uk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Corll seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Uk fails with the takedown.
Uk tries to bum rush Corll with a series of wild strikes but Corll uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Corll misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Uk to counter with a crisp jab.
Corll lunges at Uk with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Uk's hand.
Uk avoids the body shot from Corll.
Uk swinging wildly here.
Corll just misses with a punch to the body.
Uk doesn't manage to clinch there - Corll circles away.
Uk takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Uk shoots in looking for a takedown. Corll tries to sprawl out of it but Uk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corll manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Uk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Corll counters with a straight right hand.
Uk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Uk ducks right into an uppercut from Corll.
Uk misses with a takedown attempt - Corll sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Corll defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Uk.
Uk takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Corll is looking to wear down Uk with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Uk takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Uk shoots in looking for a takedown. Corll tries to sprawl out of it but Uk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corll manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Uk closes the distance and clinches up with Corll, looking for a takedown. Uk pushes Corll against the cage but Corll circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Uk shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Corll but Corll pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It looked like Corll was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Uk.
Uk looks winded!
Nice straight punches there by Corll. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Corll.

Uk is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Corll ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uk moves away.
Corll misses with a double jab.
Uk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corll tries to avoid it but Uk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corll to the ground. Corll escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Corll feints a jab promting Uk to slip. Corll then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Uk slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Uk is still on wobbly legs! Can Corll finish him?
Corll ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Corll feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Uk collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

After winning the bout, Dean Corll thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
