Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between April Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jess Ferebee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, April Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jess Ferebee! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boy trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferebee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferebee swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ferebee wants to sweep but no luck. Boy wants to control from the top but Ferebee keeps moving. Ferebee has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Boy has passed into side control.
Boy is looking to take a break and control but Ferebee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ferebee is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ferebee is trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ferebee instigates a clinch. Ferebee tries to pull guard but Boy won't allow it.
Boy is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ferebee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ferebee can't break the clinch.
Ferebee looking for a takedown. A looping hook to the body misses from Ferebee. Boy does a little dance to reset his feet. Boy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferebee's waist but Ferebee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boy off to one side. April Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Boy with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for April Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boy scores a takedown into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ferebee is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Boy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ferebee takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Boy prevents Ferebee from getting the reversal. Boy takes Ferebee's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Ferebee is in trouble. Boy is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Ferebee knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Ferebee for a finish. Boy is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ferebee defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Boy is breathing heavily. Ferebee tries to roll but Boy sticks to his back.

Boy somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Ferebee turns into Boy and is now in his guard.
Ferebee slips nicely into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boy moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ferebee with a flurry of punches that miss. Boy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ferebee wants to pass the guard but Boy is keeping the position. Ferebee won't allow Boy to get back to his feet. Boy controlling the position. Ferebee missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
April Boy dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ferebee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Boy counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Boy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Boy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Boy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Ferebee is breathing heavily. Ferebee is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy trying to control the position but Ferebee is working away. Ferebee tries to bench press Boy off him but Boy keeps the position. Boy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Boy is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ferebee looks calm but he's in trouble here. Boy gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ferebee is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Boy lets go of the hold and Ferebee can pop his arm back in it's socket.
