Coming up we have a featherweight kickboxing rules bout between Silva Scorpion (ranked 3428 p4p, 306 weight class) and Jacinto Ramos (ranked 19492 p4p, 405 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacinto Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos wants to slow Scorpion down by chopping away at his legs.
Good standup being displayed there by Ramos as he connects with a hook.
Ramos has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Scorpion is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Scorpion takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jab, jab by Scorpion - just one landing.
Scorpion fails in his attempt to clinch.
Ramos appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ramos throws out a leg kick but Scorpion moves out of range and Ramos only half commits.
Ramos throws out a loose jab but Scorpion uses good head movement to avoid it.
Scorpion throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Decent striking displayed by Ramos there.
Ramos blocks a head kick by Scorpion.
Scorpion misses with a straight right.
Scorpion clinches.
I was talking to Scorpion's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short body shot lands from Scorpion as the two fighters clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Scorpion misses with a hook from the clinch.
Scorpion goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Scorpion fails to land.
Ramos has a couple of punches blocked by Scorpion.
Ramos prevents a body shot from Scorpion.
Ramos blocks an uppercut.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.

Ramos lands a nice shot to the body.
Ramos misses with the head strike.
Scorpion breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ramos misses with a wild body shot.
Ramos avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Scorpion swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ramos counters with a nice uppercut.
Scorpion scores with a jab to the head.
Ramos takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Scorpion throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ramos's head.
Ramos is rocked!
Scorpion connects with a quick right hand that sends Ramos tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
