The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence lands a nice shot to the body.
Lawrence looks to land a body kick but Grant moved away.
Lawrence tries to work over Grant's front leg with a kick but Grant checks it.
Grant avoids the head kick by Lawrence.
Grant fails with a takedown attempt.
Grant avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Grant looks to land a left hand but Lawrence moved out of range nicely.
Lawrence will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Lawrence throws a sloppy head kick and Grant moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Grant is defended easily by Lawrence.
Lawrence misses with a head kick.
Grant is looking for a counter combo.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Grant.

Lawrence bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Grant scores with a sloppy right hand. Lawrence should have avoided that one.
A low kick from Lawrence is predictable there

and Grant holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Grant jumps guard and drags Lawrence to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Grant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lawrence doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Grant is tightening it up a little... Lawrence has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lawrence reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lawrence taps out! Nice BJJ there by Grant!
