Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roman Boesku (ranked 2600 p4p, 254 weight class) and Benjamin Siegel (ranked 3297 p4p, 311 weight class). Siegel has chosen Coolio ft. L.V - Gangsta's Paradise as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roman Boesku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin Siegel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boesku cracks Siegel with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Siegel cracks Boesku with a good jab.

Boesku shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Boesku was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Siegel sneaks out the side door and pushes Boesku away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Siegel jabs Boesku to the body, keeping him at a distance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Boesku closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Siegel's guard.
Siegel is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Siegel wants to sweep but no luck.
Siegel controlling the position.
Siegel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boesku working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boesku trying to control but Siegel is working from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Boesku is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Siegel controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A jab from Siegel misses.
A big right from Boesku misses.
Siegel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Siegel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Boesku has his takedown stuffed
enabling Siegel to counter with a crisp jab.
Siegel scores with a nice head shot.
Benjamin Siegel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Siegel lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown attempt by Boesku or perhaps it was just good defense by Siegel, which made it look bad.
Siegel moves out of range as Boesku strikes.
Siegel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Boesku.
Siegel tries a head kick but it misses.
Siegel throws a low kick but Boesku avoids it.
Siegel lands a nice looking body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boesku throws a big shot that misses.
Siegel appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Siegel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Roman Boesku seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boesku takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Siegel lands a nice leg kick that just misses Boesku's sensitive parts.
Boesku dives in for a single leg takedown but Siegel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roman Boesku. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boesku ducks right into an uppercut from Siegel.
Boesku fails with a takedown attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boesku darts in trying to clinch
and Siegel counters with a nice uppercut.
Siegel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Boesku on the side of the head.
Siegel throws a lazy right hand but Boesku sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Boesku closes the distance and clinches up with Siegel, looking for a takedown. Boesku pushes Siegel against the cage but Siegel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Siegel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.


Boesku is rocked!
Siegel closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Boesku! Siegel dives in looking to finish! Boesku is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Benjamin Siegel!
Benjamin Siegel seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
