Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Professor Xe (ranked 2036 p4p, 215 weight class) and 41 Savage (ranked 2479 p4p, 249 weight class). Savage has chosen Sound of da police! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Xe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Savage looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Xe blocks a jab.
Xe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Xe shoots in looking for a takedown but Savage manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Xe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Xe connects with the punch.
Xe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Xe stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Savage.
Savage misses with a hook. Xe ducked under it nicely.

Xe gets a double leg takedown into Savage's guard.
Savage controls Xe momentarily but Xe frees himself.
Xe is pushing down on Savage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Savage is fighting to maintain full guard but Xe has managed to sneak the leg through.
Xe frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Xe looking to finish Savage with some ground and pound. This is bad for Savage!
Savage felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Savage wants to hold on but Xe pushes him away.

Savage is in a horrible position here. Xe smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Savage is looking to improve his position but Xe isn't that keen on the idea.

Xe with shots to the head and body - Savage looks very uncomfortable down there.
Xe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Savage looks a forlorn figure.

Savage is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Xe loads up with a big shot that hurts Savage! He's pulled Xe in close but Xe has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Savage survive? More strikes from Xe and Savage is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
