Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Katuro Tisoaka (ranked 4203 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Greer (ranked 3519 p4p, 0 weight class). Tisoaka comes to the cage accompanied by Festivo. Katuro Tisoaka has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Katuro Tisoaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Greer! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tisoaka avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Greer throws a low kick but Tisoaka avoids it. Tisoaka tries a head kick but it misses.
Tisoaka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tisoaka shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Tisoaka was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Greer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Greer is looking to regain half guard here but Tisoaka keeps moving and retains side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee asks Tisoaka politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tisoaka prefers to stall for the moment though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tisoaka working away. Greer tries to bench press Tisoaka off him but Tisoaka keeps the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. A lull in the action here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Greer with a nice cross. Greer waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tisoaka. Greer connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Greer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tisoaka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Greer. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Greer! But no joy. Tisoaka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Greer tries to avoid it but Tisoaka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Greer to the ground. Greer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Greer throws a right hand that Tisoaka ducks under and follows up with a left that Tisoaka also avoids with ease. Tisoaka is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Tisoaka tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Greer swivels and escapes. Tisoaka moves in looking to clinch but Greer pushes him off. Nice shot lands for Greer. Tisoaka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Greer throws out a loose jab but Tisoaka uses good head movement to avoid it. Greer thows a left - swing and a miss! Tisoaka throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Tisoaka loads up on a big right hand but Greer slips the punch. Jackson Greer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Greer misses with a straight left. Tisoaka dives in and grabs Greer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Greer pushes down on Tisoaka's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Katuro Tisoaka. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tisoaka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Greer controls Tisoaka momentarily but Tisoaka frees himself. Tisoaka might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Greer pulls Tisoaka in close to prevent any damage. Greer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tisoaka is aware though and is defending well. Greer being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tisoaka moves into the clinch. Tisoaka avoids a wild elbow strike from Greer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackson Greer dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Greer misses with a low kick as Tisoaka jumps back. Tisoaka ducks under a wild hook from Greer. Tisoaka closes the distance looking to clinch and Greer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Greer pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Greer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Greer wants it to stay on the feet. Tisoaka throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Greer stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Tisoaka follows into mount! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tisoaka controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tisoaka prevents Greer from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tisoaka takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Greer tries to improve his position but instead Tisoaka has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tisoaka is not going to allow Greer to sit and survive in this position. What can Greer do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Greer is in bad spot here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tisoaka biding his time, controlling Greer. Greer is trying to stand back up. Tisoaka just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Greer is trying to stand back up. Tisoaka has the hooks in. Greer is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Tisoaka's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Katuro Tisoaka dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Tisoaka throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Greer is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Greer wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The fighters circling - Greer throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Greer tries to get set, Tisoaka tries to push him back and clinch up but Greer manages to avoid the attempt. Tisoaka rushes Greer and presses him up against the cage. Greer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Tisoaka turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Greer tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Greer can't escape the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tisoaka has good solid back control here. Greer felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Tisoaka seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Greer for as long as he can get away with. Greer looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Greer tries to escape but Tisoaka has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Tisoaka is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Greer can do to turn this around? We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Good control from Tisoaka. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Katuro Tisoaka showed his dominance in that final round. I think Tisoaka has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
