The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donaldson goes for a double leg but Star avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Star continues to drive forward.
Star is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Donaldson misses with a takedown attempt
and Star counters with a nice body shot.
Donaldson closes the distance and clinches up with Star, looking for a takedown. Donaldson pushes Star against the cage but Star circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Star doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Curt Donaldson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Donaldson lands a head kick. Star smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Donaldson.
