The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez goes for a double leg but De Andrade avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as De Andrade continues to drive forward.
De Andrade has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Alvarez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Alvarez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Navy Street MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Alvarez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but De Andrade defends well and Alvarez ends up having to push De Andrade into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Alvarez throws a looping overhand right but De Andrade ducks down to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from De Andrade! But no joy.
De Andrade lands with an uppercut that bounces Alvarez off the cage and back into range.

Alvarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. De Andrade sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

De Andrade lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Alvarez can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from De Andrade and Alvarez drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by De Andrade.
