Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kamerun Diaz (ranked 541 p4p, 76 weight class) and Cedric Lancaster (ranked 1085 p4p, 145 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diaz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Beast in Black - Ghost in the Rain. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kamerun Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cedric Lancaster !
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Lancaster shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lancaster connects with a right hand. Diaz shakes it off.
Lancaster moves out of range as Diaz throws a body kick.
It seemed like Lancaster was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Lancaster throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lancaster , as that shot connected.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Some bone on bone action there as Lancaster checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Diaz scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Diaz does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Lancaster dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz moves out of range as Lancaster strikes.
Cedric Lancaster is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Diaz misses with a looping left.
Lancaster misses with an uppercut.
Lancaster looks to land a left hand but Diaz moved out of range nicely.
Diaz throws a jab but it's blocked by Lancaster .
A countering left hand to the body from Lancaster misses.
Diaz cracks Lancaster with an open hand slap.
Lancaster throws a lazy right hand but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lancaster lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diaz has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diaz and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Diaz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lancaster .
Diaz misses with a straight left.
Good leg kick by Diaz there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Diaz swats away the attempt to clinch by Lancaster .

Diaz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Diaz throws a hook to the side of Lancaster 's head but Lancaster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Diaz connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lancaster moves out of range of the strikes.
A jab from Diaz misses.
Lancaster tries to counter with a clinch but Diaz shakes him off and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lancaster fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it.
Lancaster missing with a left hand there. Diaz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Diaz lunges at Lancaster with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lancaster 's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Lancaster sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It seemed like Lancaster was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamerun Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kamerun Diaz will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz.
Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lancaster 's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diaz wants to sweep here but Lancaster controlling him for the moment.
Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lancaster doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... Lancaster has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lancaster reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lancaster taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diaz!

In his post fight interview, Kamerun Diaz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
