Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boban Bobanovich (ranked 5012 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thanasis Kon (ranked 6903 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boban Bobanovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thanasis Kon! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kon misses with a takedown and Bobanovich counters with a left and a right that stings Kon. Kon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bobanovich's waist but Bobanovich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kon off to one side. Kon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Bobanovich is looking for a counter combo. Boban Bobanovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thanasis Kon. Kon doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bobanovich moves into the clinch. Bobanovich has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kon is looking to take this one to the mat. Bobanovich drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kon gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bobanovich is pressed up against the cage. Kon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bobanovich down to the mat. Bobanovich avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Thanasis Kon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bobanovich but Bobanovich pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bobanovich is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kon tries to strike from the bottom.

Bobanovich will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bobanovich stays in close to Kon's body and controls the position. Bobanovich wants to stand but Kon has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kon keeping moving, preventing Bobanovich from controlling successfully. Bobanovich throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kon works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bobanovich working some strikes from top position. Kon striking off his back but it's not causing Bobanovich any problems. Kon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bobanovich has hold of Kon's hands but Kon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kon scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Bobanovich is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kon scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bobanovich on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Kon drops an elbow to the side of Bobanovich's head. Bobanovich manages to get to full guard.
Bobanovich has Kon pulled in close to control his posture. Kon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kon has eaten all the pies! Bobanovich not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bobanovich is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bobanovich pulls Kon in close to prevent any damage. Kon with a nice head shot there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kon lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kon cracks Bobanovich with a solid left hand. Kon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bobanovich's head. Bobanovich is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kon lands a couple of elbows. Kon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bobanovich's head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kon's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bobanovich's head.
Bobanovich is rocked! Kon connects with a couple of short punches. Oh Bobanovich is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kon loads up on a big left hand. Bobanovich felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Kon looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Bobanovich can't hide his disappointment, as Kon celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thanasis Kon!
