Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Blood (ranked 712 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kubo Sujitsu (ranked 4125 p4p, 404 weight class). Ivan Blood has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ivan Blood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kubo Sujitsu! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sujitsu takes a shot right to the bread basket. Blood misses with a lunging right hand
and Sujitsu counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Blood being controlled here, momentarily. Sujitsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sujitsu keeps trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sujitsu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Blood manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sujitsu has Blood in his guard.
Sujitsu looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Blood has picked Sujitsu up and slammed him! Sujitsu can't keep hold of the triangle and Blood manages to pass to side control! Sujitsu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Blood's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sujitsu slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Sujitsu wants to sweep here but Blood controlling him for the moment. Sujitsu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Blood is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sujitsu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Blood defends it easily. Sujitsu keeping moving, preventing Blood from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sujitsu looking for a sweep. Not yet Sujitsu, not yet. Sujitsu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blood is aware though and is defending well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sujitsu is on top in guard.
Sujitsu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Blood dives on top into guard. Blood controlling from the top position. Blood definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Sujitsu has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Temp Spar Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Sujitsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blood wants to pass the guard but Sujitsu is keeping the position. Sujitsu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Sujitsu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Blood haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sujitsu is looking for a triangle but Blood pushes his legs off easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Blood is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Sujitsu throws his legs up looking for a submission but Blood uses it to pass to side control.
Sujitsu tries to buck Blood off but Blood is having none of it. Blood working away. Sujitsu is looking to reverse the position. Sujitsu regains half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sujitsu is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blood pulls his head out easily. Kubo Sujitsu dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sujitsu throws a jab when Blood was well out of range. Sujitsu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blood circles away. Blood was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Blood with a nice cross. Blood cracks Sujitsu with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sujitsu tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Blood pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sujitsu is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ivan Blood! Ivan Blood thanked the fans post fight for their support.
