Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John McCain (ranked 3271 p4p, 148 weight class) and Eta Knox (ranked 2666 p4p, 128 weight class). McCain comes to the cage accompanied by Anywhere I Go. Knox has chosen David Dallas | Runnin' as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John McCain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eta Knox!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knox connects with a body shot that sends McCain's belly button to the back.
Knox with a nice cross.
McCain tries to move into range but Knox moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Knox misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McCain.
It appears McCain was looking to counter with a kick there.
Knox fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Knox throws a body punch but McCain moves out of range.
McCain seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
McCain moves out of range of the strikes.
It looked like McCain was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Knox.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCain drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
McCain will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Knox throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Knox throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McCain stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A little feinted left hand from McCain on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

We've been hearing reports that McCain has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Knox uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McCain has time to react.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McCain moves forwards but Knox connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Good exchange - Knox coming out on top.
Knox takes a swing at McCain's ribcage but misses.

McCain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knox swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McCain has gone for a leg lock! Knox slips out almost immediately though and dives into McCain's guard.


McCain had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Knox defends it easily.
Knox controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
McCain keeping moving, preventing Knox from controlling successfully.
John McCain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

McCain working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Knox has passed into half guard!

McCain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Knox pulls his head out easily.
Knox takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Knox is continuing to stall.

Knox's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Knox has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

McCain looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Knox missing with a left hand there. McCain was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Knox avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Eta Knox comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Knox winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
