Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mack Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentin Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mack Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quentin Santos! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away. Jackson has his takedown stuffed and Santos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Santos tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard. Santos is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Santos passes into half guard. Jackson tries to get to full guard but Santos has control of the leg. Santos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jackson wants to improve his position but Santos is controlling well.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jackson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Santos wants a takedown but no success here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Santos postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it. Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Santos rushes Jackson and presses him up against the cage. Santos pulls guard successfully.

Jackson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Santos won't allow Jackson to pass to mount. Santos trying to hold on to Jackson's head to control him but Jackson postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is working for a kimura but Santos is defending it quite comfortably.
Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos keeps working. Jackson prevents Santos from improving his position. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Santos is defending well. Jackson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Santos gets full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Quentin Santos will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Santos feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Santos changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Jackson controls Santos momentarily but Santos frees himself. Santos looking to pass the guard. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Santos is proving a slippery customer.
Santos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Santos is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jackson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jackson has escaped and now he's on top! Santos is breathing heavily. Santos working a defensive guard here.

Jackson stands and throws Santos's legs to the side, diving into side control. Santos is trying to get back to half guard. Jackson in side control lands a decent elbow. Santos is not content to let Jackson control the position. Jackson advances to full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Santos slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Santos tries to roll over but Jackson keeps him under control. Jackson working over Santos with some ground and pound. Santos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Santos is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jackson pulls his head out easily. Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Santos keeps working. Jackson drops an elbow to the side of Santos's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos wants to get back to full guard but Jackson has mounted him! Jackson tries to control but Santos wriggling away. Santos tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. Jackson tries to control but Santos wriggling away. Santos can't escape the position.
Jackson trying to control but Santos is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jackson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Santos sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Santos is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Santos has a hand on Jackson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jackson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Santos tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control. Jackson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jackson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Santos is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Santos tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. That was a close second round but I would say that Mack Jackson will probably get the nod. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mack Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick misses from Santos. Santos keeps the fight on the outside. Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away. A head kick by Jackson misses and Santos counters with a thumping low kick. Santos tries to clinch up and Jackson counters by clinching up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jackson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Santos gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Santos is trying to drag Jackson to the mat but Jackson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Santos.

Santos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is trying to control the position but Santos postures up. Santos postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Santos, into his guard. Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Santos is pressing down on Jackson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Santos is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Quentin Santos has got the better of the ground game so far. Santos keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Santos swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jackson wanted to stand there but Santos had control of the position. Santos is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Jackson frees his head nicely. Oh but Santos has switched to an armbar! Jackson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
