Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Desmond Okafor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vacant Championship!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okafor ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Okafor throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Championship misses with a hook to the body
and Okafor counters with a slapping leg kick.
Okafor connects with a solid leg kick.
Championship throws a left and a right that both miss
and Okafor makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Championship really felt that one!
Desmond Okafor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Championship looks winded!
Okafor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Okafor scores with a leg kick.
Championship keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Okafor lands a leg kick that knocks Championship off balance momentarily.
Okafor scores with a punch to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Championship chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Okafor can pounce on him.
Okafor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Championship throws a series of punches but Okafor avoids them all with ease.

Okafor lands a body shot.
Championship tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Okafor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Okafor fakes the leg kick and cracks Championship in the body.
Okafor scores with a hook to the body. Championship takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Championship takes a jab right on the kisser.
Okafor thuds a left hand into Championship's body.
Championship rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Okafor counters with a nice body kick.

Okafor drops Championship with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Championship looks back up at him and smiles so Okafor waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Championship is rocked!


It looks like Vacant Championship has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Okafor ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Championship's jaw. Championship's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Okafor does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Desmond Okafor!
Desmond Okafor decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
