Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vitaly Ragozin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Antetokounmpo! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Antetokounmpo darts in looking for a takedown but Ragozin gets double underhooks and turns Antetokounmpo into the cage. Ragozin appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Jab by Antetokounmpo. Ryan Antetokounmpo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Antetokounmpo with a poor takedown and Ragozin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ragozin. Antetokounmpo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Ragozin is trying to pull guard but Antetokounmpo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Ragozin pulls guard successfully.
Antetokounmpo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Antetokounmpo connects with a couple of short punches. Antetokounmpo drops back looking for a leg! Ragozin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ragozin manages to kick Antetokounmpo off! Antetokounmpo jumps back into Ragozin's guard. Antetokounmpo wanted to stand there but Ragozin had control of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ragozin looking for a sweep. Not yet Ragozin, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Antetokounmpo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ragozin's guard. Ragozin has a hand on Antetokounmpo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Antetokounmpo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Antetokounmpo thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Antetokounmpo landing shots from mount. Antetokounmpo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ragozin because Antetokounmpo loaded up on that one. Ragozin really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Antetokounmpo moves to take his opponent's back. Ragozin is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ragozin tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Antetokounmpo has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Ragozin is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
