The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucan moves in looking to clinch but Gariniho pushes him off.
Lucan tries to close the distance and clinch but Gariniho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gariniho jabs at Lucan's body.
Lucan closes the distance but Gariniho moves to the side
and Gariniho counters with a straight right hand.
No joy there for Lucan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
It looked like Gariniho was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lucan.
Lucan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gariniho counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lucan misses with a hook. Gariniho ducked under it nicely.
Gariniho swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gariniho dodges the punch combination from Lucan.
Lucan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gariniho counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lucan thinking.
Lucan swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gariniho counters with a nice uppercut.
Some wild striking there from Lucan.
Gariniho throws a quick counter head kick but Lucan was just out of range.
Lucan throws a head kick but Gariniho moves out of range.
Lucan throws a series of punches but Gariniho moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lucan throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gariniho throws a body shot but no joy.
As Gariniho backs off Lucan throws a huge counter combo but Gariniho manages to avoid it all.
Lucan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gariniho lands an overhand right.
Gariniho throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lucan tries to move into range but Gariniho moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lucan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lucan is looking to clinch but Gariniho is avoiding it.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lucan is trying to break free.
Lucan throws a head punch that misses.
Gariniho throws a head punch that misses.
A left hand lands to the body for Gariniho.
Gariniho lands a hook that snaps the head of Lucan backwards.
Gariniho misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lucan wants to get back to striking at distance but Gariniho won't allow it.
Lucan can't break the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gariniho.
Gariniho misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gariniho swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lucan is trying to push Gariniho away but Gariniho has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lucan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Gariniho scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gariniho.
Gariniho lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Lucan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice shot by Gariniho.
Lucan is rocked!
BOOM! Gariniho lands a beautiful left hook that drops Lucan. Lucan tries to recover but Gariniho is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Lucan lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Neyman Gariniho!
