Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oba Bakker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bakker comes to the cage accompanied by The Game - Champion. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Oba Bakker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Bakker.

and Bakker counters with a nice double leg into side control. Larson won't be happy with that.

Bakker is just content to waste time from the top position. Larson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Larson tries to land a front kick but Bakker steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bakker shoots in but Larson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bakker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bakker shoots for a takedown but Larson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bakker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Larson is fending him off so far but Bakker persists. Nope, Larson circles away and we're back to standing.

Bakker shoots for a double leg takedown but Larson sprawls well. He's pushed Bakker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Larson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

This has been an exciting period of action!

and Bakker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Larson's guard.

Larson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bakker wants to stand and escape but instead Larson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bakker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Larson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bakker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Larson's back instead.
Bakker is throwing shots to the body but Larson manages to wriggle free. Bakker pounces on him again and ends up in Larson's guard.
Bakker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Bakker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bakker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Larson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bakker throws a strike but Larson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Larson cracks the inside of Bakker's front leg.
Bakker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Larson pinned against the cage. Larson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Larson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bakker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bakker tries a head kick but it misses.
Larson throws a head kick that misses.
Bakker closes the distance and clinches up with Larson, looking for a takedown. Bakker pushes Larson against the cage but Larson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bakker takes the fight into the clinch.
Bakker tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Larson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Larson dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Larson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Larson stalks Bakker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bakker's face. Bakker staggers backwards, shaken.
Larson misses with a series of wild punches.
Larson misses with a head kick.
A head kick from Bakker lands but Larson takes it in his stride.
No luck for Bakker with that takedown attempt.
Bakker wants to clinch.
Bakker misses with a head kick.
Larson scores with a sloppy right hand. Bakker should have avoided that one.
Bakker tries to clinch up but Larson circles away and keeps his distance.

and Larson counters with a nice uppercut.
Larson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bakker can pounce on him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bakker shoots for a double leg takedown but Larson sprawls well. He's pushed Bakker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Larson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bakker goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Larson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Bakker darts in trying to clinch
and Larson counters with a series of strikes. Bakker will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bakker lands with a kick to the temple. Larson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Bakker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Larson is trying to stand up.

Larson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bakker.

BOOM! Bakker connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bakker jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Larson walks away with a smile on his face. Bakker gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Larson avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

and Larson counters with a left and a right that stings Bakker.
A head kick from Bakker lands but Larson takes it in his stride.
Bakker looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Larson scores with a one two! Bakker had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Larson counters with a three punch combo that has Bakker backing up. Bakker nods at Larson to acknowledge the strikes.

Bakker is trying to control. Larson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
