Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnnie Tanner (ranked 6490 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daiyan Jr Jesus Valdes (ranked 5082 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesus Valdes has chosen a lo cubano as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnnie Tanner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daiyan Jr Jesus Valdes! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanner fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jesus Valdes avoids it really well and circles away. And Jesus Valdes tries to counter it with a takedown but Tanner pushes his down on his head and steps out. Jesus Valdes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tanner can pounce on him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jesus Valdes gets the takedown into side control. Jesus Valdes has hold of Tanner's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Tanner seems comfortable defending it but Jesus Valdes has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Tanner is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Tanner is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Jesus Valdes couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Daiyan Jr Jesus Valdes! After the fight, Daiyan Jr Jesus Valdes was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
