Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Viktor Drago!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woodhouse clobbers Drago with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Drago has a takedown stuffed.
Woodhouse tries to score with a low kick but Drago moves his leg out of the way.
Woodhouse scores with a hook to the body. Drago takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Drago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Woodhouse is fending him off so far but Drago persists. Nope, Woodhouse circles away and we're back to standing.
Drago tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Woodhouse paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Woodhouse clobbers Drago with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Drago has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Drago there as he acknowledges the shot.
Drago misses with a takedown attempt
and Woodhouse counters with a left to the body.
Bradley Woodhouse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Drago.

Woodhouse gets caught flat footed, as Drago shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Woodhouse wants to get back to his feet but Drago passes into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Woodhouse tries to hold on but Drago pushes him away.
Drago looking to control but Woodhouse is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Woodhouse is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Drago is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Woodhouse is squirming around, avoiding Drago's attempts to control the action.

Drago can't control as he wanted to and Woodhouse manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Drago wants to control but Woodhouse is keeping him busy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Drago is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Drago decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Drago on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Woodhouse avoids the body shot from Drago.
Drago takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Bradley Woodhouse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Woodhouse lands with a hook. Drago tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Woodhouse jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Woodhouse displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Drago.
Woodhouse slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Drago shoots in but Woodhouse avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Woodhouse bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Woodhouse cracks Drago with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Drago walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Woodhouse moves into range and connects with a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drago takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Drago takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Drago moves forwards but Woodhouse connects with a nice, crisp jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Drago is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Drago is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Woodhouse to keep the fight standing.

Woodhouse lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Drago backwards.
Woodhouse dips a shoulder and cracks Drago with a mighty uppercut! Drago falls back against the cage and Woodhouse unloads with a barrage of strikes! Drago is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Woodhouse screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
