Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Streicher Voges (ranked 2386 p4p, 276 weight class) and Andrei Voronov (ranked 2250 p4p, 263 weight class). Voges comes to the cage accompanied by Windgat bakkie. The crowd seem to be enjoying Voronov's choice of entrance music: Noize Mc - Make Destroy . Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Streicher Voges! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Voronov! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Voronov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Voges. Voronov now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Voges will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Voronov keeps the fight on the outside. Voronov swats away the attempt to clinch by Voges. The fighters circle momentarily. Voronov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Streicher Voges has been cut. Voges on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Voges tries to clinch but Voronov moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Voges fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Voronov to the ground. Voges is now in Voronov's guard. Voges lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Voges's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Voronov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Voges throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Voronov keeping moving, preventing Voges from controlling successfully. Voges stopping the sweep attempt from Voronov. Voges throws a big right hand that misses. Voges has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Voges accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Voges throwing strikes but missing. Voges content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Voronov keeping moving, preventing Voges from controlling successfully. Voges looking to sit in guard and control but Voronov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Voronov wants to pass the guard but Voges is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Voges is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Voges is working hard here to advance position. Voges is trying to control the position but Voronov postures up. Voronov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Voronov tries to free his leg and advance position but Voges is retaining full guard. Voronov postures up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Voronov is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Voronov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Voges moves away. Voges darts in looking for a takedown but Voronov gets double underhooks and turns Voges into the cage. Voges fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Streicher Voges. That's going to take a lot out of him. Voges checks a leg kick. Voronov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Voronov uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Voges is rocked! Voges gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Voronov gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Voges is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Voronov! Andrei Voronov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way. The defeated Streicher Voges had this to say: 'I just need to tune my engine a bit more.'.
