The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maco missing with a left hand there. Barrera was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Maco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barrera moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Maco throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It seemed like Barrera was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Barrera moves out of range as Maco strikes.
Cucu Maco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice defenses there by Barrera.
Barrera throws out a counter right but Maco avoids it with no problem.
Maco misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barrera fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maco manages to avoid it.
Barrera misses with a series of wild punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Cucu Maco has been cut.
Maco connects with a nice looking jab.
Oh Maco is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Barrera digs a good body shot into Maco's ribs.
Barrera scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Maco gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Barrera gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Maco is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
