Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kasey Haynes (ranked 24899 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chase McLaughlin (ranked 15771 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying McLaughlin's choice of entrance music: Money and the Power. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kasey Haynes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chase McLaughlin! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLaughlin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Haynes's guard. Haynes is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. The referee is keeping an eye on Haynes - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Haynes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. McLaughlin is trying to force a seperation but Haynes has the dominant position. McLaughlin is trying to push Haynes away but Haynes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. McLaughlin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Haynes uses from the top position. Haynes will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. McLaughlin is looking for a triangle here but Haynes uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ground and pound from Haynes seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. McLaughlin looks to move to half guard but instead Haynes has passed into mount! Damn!
That's one minute gone in the round. Haynes lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McLaughlin hang on? Haynes swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and McLaughlin is now in Haynes's guard. A big mistake from Haynes there, giving up the dominant position! Haynes pulls McLaughlin in close to prevent any damage. McLaughlin wants to control from the top but Haynes keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haynes seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. McLaughlin trying to control the position from guard on top but Haynes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McLaughlin makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. McLaughlin stays in close to Haynes's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLaughlin trying to control but Haynes is working from the bottom. Haynes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. McLaughlin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McLaughlin wants to control from the top but Haynes keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Haynes holds on and takes a little breather.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Haynes keeps the fight on the outside. It looked like Haynes was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. McLaughlin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haynes is trying to control McLaughlin's posture but McLaughlin avoids it. Haynes is not content to let McLaughlin control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Haynes can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kasey Haynes will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A head kick misses from McLaughlin. It looked like Haynes was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Chase McLaughlin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McLaughlin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Haynes paws at him with a jab and circles away. Haynes fails with a takedown attempt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Haynes enables McLaughlin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Haynes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Haynes is wriggling around but McLaughlin manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. McLaughlin stalling away here and it's allowed Haynes to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Haynes manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Haynes has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McLaughlin after a bit of a struggle. McLaughlin wants the takedown. Haynes is fighting it off but McLaughlin persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Haynes's guard against the cage. McLaughlin lands a couple of decent looking shots. McLaughlin trying to control but Haynes is working from the bottom. McLaughlin is looking to work some ground and pound but Haynes has wrist control. McLaughlin looking to sit in guard and control but Haynes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Haynes preventing the sweep. McLaughlin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Haynes stacks McLaughlin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Haynes! Haynes connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McLaughlin some visible discomfort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haynes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McLaughlin, who protects the arm well. Haynes gets to mount! McLaughlin was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haynes punishing his opponent with strikes. McLaughlin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Haynes is working for a guillotine from mount but McLaughlin frees his head quite easily.
McLaughlin tries to hold on but Haynes postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McLaughlin can't escape the position.
Haynes goes for an armbar but McLaughlin turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from McLaughlin. Haynes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Haynes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McLaughlin, up you get! McLaughlin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kasey Haynes dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

and Haynes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McLaughlin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Haynes. McLaughlin wants to clinch. McLaughlin tries to clinch but Haynes moves out of range. McLaughlin drives through with a takedown into Haynes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McLaughlin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

McLaughlin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Haynes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. McLaughlin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Haynes is keeping the position for now. McLaughlin being controlled here momentarily. McLaughlin tries to free his leg and advance position but Haynes is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McLaughlin trying to control the position from guard on top but Haynes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Haynes has his takedown stuffed so McLaughlin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Haynes keeping moving, preventing McLaughlin from controlling successfully. McLaughlin looking to sit in guard and control but Haynes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. McLaughlin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Haynes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. McLaughlin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haynes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Haynes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McLaughlin, up you get! McLaughlin thows a left - swing and a miss! Haynes tries for a takedown but McLaughlin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McLaughlin feints the counter takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kasey Haynes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Haynes feints and as McLaughlin raises his hands in defense, Haynes changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Haynes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McLaughlin wants to sweep here but Haynes controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McLaughlin pulls Haynes in to control the position. Haynes drops back looking for a leg! McLaughlin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McLaughlin manages to kick Haynes off! Haynes jumps back into McLaughlin's guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. McLaughlin wants to control the position but Haynes says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Chase McLaughlin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kasey Haynes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McLaughlin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Kasey Haynes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Haynes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
