Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Genji Kamogawa (ranked 1476 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scar Ambe (ranked 707 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamogawa comes to the cage accompanied by The Veer Union - Bitter End. Ambe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gunna - The World is Yours kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Genji Kamogawa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scar Ambe! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kamogawa misses with a wild body shot. Kamogawa misses with a body shot.
Ambe swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kamogawa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ambe! But no joy. Ambe jabbing away but nothing is landing. Ambe misses the shot to the body. Nice uppercut there from Ambe. Ambe throws an overhand right that lands on Kamogawa's shoulder, as Kamogawa tries to avoid the shot. Kamogawa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight. A nice combination there by Ambe.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Ambe uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kamogawa.
Ambe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kamogawa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Ambe scrambles back to his feet.

and Ambe counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kamogawa avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ambe moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The crowd are loving this. He's landed in Kamogawa's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ambe working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Kamogawa trying to keep a closed guard but Ambe is proving a slippery customer.

Ambe in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ambe tries to score with some ground and pound. Kamogawa controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. A lull in the action here. Kamogawa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kamogawa is trying to control Ambe's posture but Ambe avoids it. Ambe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ambe controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ambe throwing shots but missing, from side control. Ambe is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Ambe cracks Kamogawa with a big elbow. Ambe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kamogawa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Ambe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ambe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ambe working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Scar Ambe dominated that round. The cut man is working on Scar Ambe's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kamogawa gets tackled into the cage by Ambe. Ambe maintains the clinch. Ambe blocking some punches.

Kamogawa is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ambe is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kamogawa to the mat. Kamogawa regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Ambe trying to control but Kamogawa is working from the bottom. Ambe stopping the sweep attempt from Kamogawa. Kamogawa has control of Ambe's left arm, preventing Ambe from doing any damage. Scar Ambe has got the better of the ground game so far. Kamogawa tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kamogawa wants to improve his position here. There's a bit of a scramble and Ambe has taken Kamogawa's back! He's locked on a rear naked choke here and Kamogawa has been forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Scar Ambe! After winning the bout, Scar Ambe thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
