Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nate Hardy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Daley! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daley shoots in and drives through. Hardy sprawls well. Hardy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hardy working a defensive guard here.
Daley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hardy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Daley trying to control the position from guard on top but Hardy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daley content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Daley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hardy is keeping the position for now. Daley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Daley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hardy but Hardy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Daley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Daley scoring with punches and elbows. Hardy is trying to buck Daley off. Hardy is trying to control Daley's posture but Daley avoids it. Daley wants to control for a moment but Hardy uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Hardy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Daley's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daley is refusing to be controlled, as Hardy sits in half guard. Daley trying to control but Hardy postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Daley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hardy's guard. Hardy trying to control the position.

Hardy tries to clinch but Daley moves out of range. Hardy fails with the takedown and Daley counters with a single leg into guard. Hardy didn't expect that. Hardy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hardy trying to keep a closed guard but Daley is proving a slippery customer.

Hardy with a poor takedown and Daley counters with a takedown into side control. Hardy is trying to control Daley's posture but Daley avoids it. Hardy manages to work his way to half guard, despite Daley's best efforts. Daley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Daley lands strikes from half guard. Daley wants to pass the guard but Hardy is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daley thows a huge punch but Hardy dodges it nicely.

Nate Hardy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hardy is looking to clinch. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Daley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hardy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hardy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hardy wants to control but Daley is keeping him busy. Daley is looking to regain half guard here but Hardy keeps moving and retains side control. Hardy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Daley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Daley controlling the position easily from mount. Hardy tries to lock up and control but Daley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Daley blocks Hardy's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Daley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Daley working Hardy over with strikes here. Daley is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hardy wants to control but Daley is having none of it.

Hardy tries to buck Daley off but he can't manage it. Daley in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Daley unloading with bombs! Daley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hardy sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Hardy wants to control but Daley is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Hardy works his way to full guard. Good work. Daley wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving. Hardy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Daley is controlling him. Daley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hardy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hardy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Daley is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Daley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hardy pinned against the cage. Hardy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Daley takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hardy shoots in and drives through. Daley sprawls well. Hardy wants to clinch up but Daley keeps it at a distance. Daley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nate Hardy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Daley. Hardy tries for a takedown but Daley circles away easily and Daley counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hardy's guard now. Hardy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Hardy is trying to control the position but Daley postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daley won't allow Hardy to sweep him here. Daley stands up from guard. Let's bang! Daley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Daley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Daley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Daley is thwarting Hardy's attempts to control the position. Nate Hardy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Daley is stalling here. Hardy is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Daley seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hardy has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay Daley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Daley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
