Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renato Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). dos Santos has chosen Rape Me as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua tries for a takedown but dos Santos sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Rua seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down dos Santos for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rua jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as dos Santos walks away with a smile on his face. Rua gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Rua changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. dos Santos tries to avoid it but Rua manages to keep hold of a leg and drag dos Santos to the ground. dos Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rua has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from dos Santos finds it's way round the side to connect with Rua's head.

Renato Rua is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
dos Santos misses with a wild combination.
Rua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around dos Santos's waist but dos Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rua off to one side.

Anderson dos Santos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Rua has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
