Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pax Africa (ranked 3905 p4p, 390 weight class) and Marcus Harris (ranked 4409 p4p, 432 weight class). Pax Africa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marcus Harris's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pax Africa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Harris!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris shoots in and drives through. Africa sprawls well.
It looked like Africa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Harris shoots for a takedown but Africa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Harris darts in looking for a takedown but Africa gets double underhooks and turns Harris into the cage.
Pax Africa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Harris.
Harris shoots in and drives through. Africa sprawls well.
Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Africa defends well and Harris ends up having to push Africa into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Africa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A quick step to the side and Africa tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Harris shoots in for a takedown but Africa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've been told by Africa's head coaches at Doom's Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Harris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Africa's waist but Africa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Harris off to one side.
Africa is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Marcus Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Harris looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Africa is fending him off so far but Harris persists. Nope, Africa circles away and we're back to standing.
Africa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Harris sprawls and moves away.
