Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xilef Xenox (ranked 5797 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Kazama (ranked 5183 p4p, 382 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xenox looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Kazama!
Kazama explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Xenox is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kazama.
Xenox will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kazama tries to clinch but Xenox moves out of range.

Xenox wants to control from the top but Kazama keeps moving.

Kazama is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kazama has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Xenox off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Xenox is trying to push Kazama away but Kazama has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kazama's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kazama shoots in looking for a takedown but Xenox manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kazama's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Xenox is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kazama.
Xilef Xenox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Kazama.
Xenox fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kazama, pushing him back against the cage.
Xenox is working for takedown but Kazama is calmly controlling the position for now.

Xenox jumps guard but Kazama turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Xenox shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kazama manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kazama scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Xenox closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kazama is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Xenox is breathing heavily.

Kazama manages to work his way to half guard, despite Xenox's best efforts.
Xenox is keen to just control but Kazama is a slippery customer.
