Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomas Stibr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Manalili Meesang!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stibr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Meesang circles away quickly and effectively.
Stibr throws a left and a right that both miss
and Meesang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Meesang feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Stibr sprawling to the canvas! Stibr rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Meesang finish him?!
Stibr is rocked!
Stibr shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Meesang counters with a huge right that knocks Stibr out cold! Meesang is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Manalili Meesang!
A relieved looking Manalili Meesang thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
