Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Polliisi Partio (ranked 64 p4p, 9 weight class) and Alexey Andreev (ranked 355 p4p, 48 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Andreev!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partio throws a sloppy head kick and Andreev moves out of range easily.

Partio gets a clinch.

Andreev has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Partio clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Andreev lands strikes to the head.
You can see the frustration on Partio's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Andreev lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Andreev.
Andreev is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Andreev gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Andreev gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Andreev apologises and we restart here on the feet.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Andreev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Andreev is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Partio looks calm but he's in trouble here. Andreev gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Partio is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Andreev lets go of the hold and Partio can pop his arm back in it's socket.

In his post fight interview, Alexey Andreev started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
