Asztalos has chosen Dethroned Emperor by Celtic Frost as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Solomon Kahn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Asztalos!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asztalos misses with a hook
and Kahn counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Asztalos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Asztalos misses with a hook. Kahn ducked under it nicely.
It looked like Kahn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A slapping leg kick lands for Asztalos.
Kahn moves forwards but Asztalos connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A nice leg kick lands there from Asztalos.
Alex Asztalos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Asztalos jabs at Kahn's body.
Kahn avoids the body shot from Asztalos.
Kahn jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
The fighters circling - Asztalos throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Asztalos with a nice cross.
Kahn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Asztalos throws out the jab.
Asztalos scoring well with a low kick there.
Kahn on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kahn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slow jab from Asztalos misses its intended target.
Kahn swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Asztalos swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Asztalos misses with a body shot.
Asztalos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kahn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kahn staying out of range there.
Asztalos throws a leg kick which misses Kahn's front leg but catches the back leg as Kahn tries to avoid it.

Asztalos gets a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Asztalos fails to land.
Kahn scores with a shoulder strike.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kahn.
Kahn lands an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kahn.
Kahn swings wildly with an uppercut but Asztalos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kahn lands on the inside with an uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kahn lands with a short shot to the head.
Kahn scores with a shoulder strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kahn.
A right hand to the body from Kahn.
Asztalos misses with a shot to the kidneys.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Asztalos misses with a punch to the body.
Asztalos doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kahn tries to work over Asztalos's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kahn scores with a hook to the body.

Kahn drops Asztalos onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Asztalos is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


Asztalos is rocked!

Kahn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Asztalos is still on wobbly legs! Can Kahn finish him?
Kahn drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Asztalos's head, knocking him out cold! Kahn is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Solomon Kahn!

Solomon Kahn tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Alex Asztalos stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back.'.
