Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tatak Marines!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee shoots for a takedown but Marines saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Marines is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Lee with a body shot.
Lee tries for a takedown but Marines sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marines now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Marines slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Archibald Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lee is looking to stand back up but Marines counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lee.

Lee is trying to stand up here but Marines is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marines stands up out of the half guard.
Marines circles away from the clinch attempt.
Marines looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Archibald Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee throws a right hand that Marines ducks under and follows up with a left that Marines also avoids with ease.
Lee tries to clinch but Marines moves out of range.
Marines takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Lee manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Marines throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lees head.
Marines misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Marines goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Lee tries to break free but Marines pushes him back against the cage.

Nice body punch from Marines - that landed with a thud.
Lee prevents a body shot from Marines.
Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Marines obliges.

Lee has had enough of the clinch but Marines keeps him there for the moment.
Marines tries a body shot but Lee blocks it.
Marines lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Lee backwards.
Lee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Marines is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lee is trying to force a seperation but Marines has the dominant position.
Lee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Marines smiles and moves away.

and Marines counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Marines slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Marines! But no joy.

and Marines counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that.
Lee is looking to stand back up but Marines counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tatak Marines dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Marines, which made it look bad.
Marines steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Lee goes for a double leg but Marines avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marines continues to drive forward.
Marines drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Lee defends it well.
Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marines sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.

Lee shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marines as he avoids it easily.
Marines let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Marines closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lee to the mat! Lee manages to get full guard.
Lee wants to stand up but Marines is controlling him.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marines's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Lee is working an open guard so Marines takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Marines moves out of range as Lee throws a body kick.
Marines now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Lee fails with the takedown
and Marines counters with a nice body shot.
Tatak Marines seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lee shoots in for a takedown but Marines shows good takedown defense.

Lee gets caught flat footed, as Marines shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lee is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Marines dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Marines asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lee is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lee wants to get back to his feet.

Lee bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Marines fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lee sprawls well initially but Marines persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Marines postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lee to stand up.
Lee throws a head kick that misses
and Marines counters with a left to the body.
Lee goes for a double leg but Marines avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marines continues to drive forward.

Tatak Marines showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Marines decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lee scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Marines manages to mount him!
Lee squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Lee bucks Marines off and manages to get back to his feet!
Lee has a takedown stuffed.
A little jabbing left from Marines on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Marines swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice side step and Marines releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Marines sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lee gets caught napping as Marines dives in and scores a takedown. Lee manages to retain guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marines gets to his feet. Lee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lee fails with the takedown.

Marines bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lee is trying to get back to his feet.
Lee trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The referee asks Marines politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marines prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lee pushes Marines away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Marines gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A lull in the action here.

Marines decides to stand back up. Marines steps back and let's Lee get back to his feet.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Marines.
Despite the aggression on Marines's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Nice sprawl there from Marines as Lee shoots in.

Marines gets the takedown into side control.

Marines stands up.

Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

A right hook to the body lands for Marines.
A short body shot lands from Marines as the two fighters clinch.
Lee tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Marines misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Marines can't find room to land a body shot as Lee controls the action.

Marines has picked Lee up - he's going for a ride! Marines dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Lee is trying to escape back to his feet but Marines uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Lee is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marines has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Marines stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Marines has taken the fight to the clinch.
Marines tries a body shot but Lee blocks it.
A left hand lands to the body for Marines.

Marines gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Tatak Marines is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Marines wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.

Lee manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that's the end of the fight!
Tatak Marines comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Marines has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
